Roofing leads: what they cost, from the sources that publish a price

Roofing is the best-documented trade in this record and the most expensive. Three sources keep a live roofing page and all three publish a figure, which happens nowhere else here. The spread between them is the whole story: an aged roofing record starts at about a quarter, a shared fresh lead runs into the low hundreds, and the exclusive end of the market is quoted in the hundreds.

Coverage means this source runs its own live page for this trade at the URL recorded here, checked on the date shown, rather than a claim to cover every trade. The median above is taken over the prices published for THIS trade only, and fresh leads and aged records are never averaged together: where a trade has a published fresh exclusive price the median is over those figures and the aged ones are reported beside them, and where a trade has only aged prices, as solar does here, the median is over those and the notes on the page say so.

Buying roofing leads

Fixr prices its roofing tiers apart rather than quoting one number, and the gap between the tiers is larger than the gap between most vendors: exclusive high-intent roofing leads at $150 to $180 against shared high-intent leads at $80 to $120 for the same homeowner shown to two or three of you.

99 Calls prices the market rather than only itself, and names who sits where: shared leads from Angi, HomeAdvisor and Thumbtack at roughly $25 to $200, exclusive leads from Service Direct, 99 Calls and 33 Mile Radius at roughly $40 to $550. Those are 99 Calls' published observations about other companies and are printed here as such, never as Angi's own price.

Aged Lead Store's roofing guide puts aged roofing records at approximately $0.25 to $1.50 each. That is not a cheaper version of the leads above: it is a homeowner who asked weeks or months ago and has probably already hired somebody. It is worth knowing because it is the floor of this market and almost nobody explains what it buys.

Roofing job values are what make the arithmetic work at either end. A single storm-season replacement covers a lot of leads, which is precisely why the exclusive prices are the highest here and why a low close rate does not automatically make a source bad value.
