What this service is

Contractor Lead Quotes is an independent comparison site and an introduction service. We publish lead sources' advertised prices, checked word for word against their own pages, and on request we pass your requirements to sources that cover your trade. We do not generate or sell leads to you ourselves through these pages, and we give no legal or marketing advice. Any price a source quotes you is between you and that source.

How we are paid

Nothing in the price record is paid for by a lead source. No source has bought a place in it, an ordering, a badge or a mention, and no figure changes because a source would prefer a different one. How we are paid: lead sources pay us for an introduction you have asked us to make, after you consent on the price form. You never pay us anything. We should also say the thing most comparison sites in this market leave out: the people who publish this site also operate a marketplace that sells contractor leads, so we are a participant in the market we are recording, not a bystander. That is exactly why the record is compiled from sources' own published pages before any of them is contacted, and why every figure carries the page it came from so you can check it yourself.

About the price record

The price record on this site is compiled by fetching each lead source's own published pages and matching every quoted figure word for word against the page text, storing the quote, the source URL and the date it was read. A source that publishes no price is recorded as publishing none; a source whose page we could not read is recorded separately as unread, because the two are different facts. Fresh leads and aged records are recorded in separate columns and never averaged together. Trade coverage is recorded only where the source maintains its own live page for that trade. Figures go stale: each carries its retrieval date, and any figure older than the freshness window is re-checked or removed rather than left standing.

No warranty

The record is compiled carefully and it is not a substitute for a quote. Advertised prices are starting prices for a stated product in a stated trade; what you are charged depends on your ZIP codes, your volume, whether the lead is exclusive and how old it is. We give no legal or marketing advice, and any agreement you reach is between you and the lead source.
