Solar leads: what they cost, from the sources that publish a price
Solar is the trade where the aged market is best documented and the fresh market is quietest. Two sources keep live solar pages in this record and both are aged-record resellers publishing full price ladders. What a fresh exclusive solar lead costs is not published by anybody here.

Coverage means this source runs its own live page for this trade at the URL recorded here, checked on the date shown, rather than a claim to cover every trade. The median above is taken over the prices published for THIS trade only, and fresh leads and aged records are never averaged together: where a trade has a published fresh exclusive price the median is over those figures and the aged ones are reported beside them, and where a trade has only aged prices, as solar does here, the median is over those and the notes on the page say so.
Buying solar leads
Aged Lead Store publishes a solar ladder by age and order size: three to thirty days old runs $3.00 down to $1.00 as the order grows from a handful to twenty-five thousand, and the older bands fall from there. Its store list prices solar installation records at $0.60 to $1.50 for the thirty to eighty-five day band.
Work Aged Leads puts the average across the aged solar providers it lists at $0.50 to $3.00 per lead, which is the same market read a different way and lands in the same place. Two independent reads agreeing is worth more than either one alone.
Solar is a long-consideration purchase, and that is the argument for aged records in this trade specifically: a homeowner who filled in a form in spring may still be comparing quotes in autumn. It is also the argument against paying fresh-lead prices for a contact you cannot reach for a fortnight.
What is missing here is a published fresh exclusive solar price. Several sources sell one; none of them prints it. Treat any figure you are quoted as the only one you have and ask what it includes.
