Pest control leads and what a recurring customer is worth
Pest control is the trade on this site where the first job is least representative of what a customer is worth. Most pest work becomes a recurring contract, so a lead that looks expensive against one treatment can look cheap against three years of quarterly visits. No source in this record publishes a pest control lead price, which makes that arithmetic the only guide you have.
- median advertised lead price among the sources that publish one
- $95

- 8
Figures on this page come from the price record on this site: 2 of the seventeen lead sources checked publish a fresh exclusive lead price, and the median of those is $95.
- Every figure quoted from the source's own pageEach price below was fetched from the lead source's own page and matched word for word before it was published, with the date it was read. Re-running the ingest re-matches every one, so a repriced page fails rather than shipping a stale figure.
- Fresh and aged are counted apartA fresh exclusive lead and an aged record re-sold months later differ by a factor of a hundred. Averaging them would produce a number describing nothing anybody can buy, so they are reported separately everywhere on this site.
- Trade coverage is evidenced, not claimedA source covers a trade here only when its own live page for that trade answered at the URL we recorded, on the date shown.

Buying pest control leads
- Compute lifetime value before anything else. A quarterly contract at a modest ticket is worth several times a single treatment. Until you know that figure you cannot tell whether a lead price is high or low, and no seller will compute it for you.
- Separate emergency from preventive enquiries. A wasp nest today and a termite inspection next month convert differently and lead to different contracts. Ask a source which it is selling before you agree a blended price.
- Insist on speed for emergency work. Infestation calls go to whoever answers, so a shared lead delivered slowly is worth a fraction of the same lead delivered instantly. Get the delivery method in the contract.
- Benchmark against a published trade. With nothing published for pest control, an HVAC repair lead at $100 with an exclusive range of $80 to $120 is the nearest published analogue in urgency and ticket. Use it to spot a quote that is out of proportion, not as a target.
Nothing published, and why
Every published rate card in this record covers remodelling and exterior trades. Pest control is sold overwhelmingly through the shared marketplaces and local advertising, and neither publishes a price.
The result is that a pest control operator has no published benchmark at all. Several quotes are the only check available, and the first number you hear should not be treated as the market.
Why recurring revenue changes the answer
In most trades on this site the lead buys a job. In pest control it usually buys a contract, and the contract renews. That single difference can move the defensible lead price by a multiple rather than a percentage.
It also changes what you should be buying. A slightly more expensive lead that converts into an annual plan rather than a one-off treatment is worth paying for, and that is a qualification question rather than a price question.
Aged pest records
There is no aged pest control ladder here. Pest enquiries fall inside the general aged home service band, published by its seller at $.10 to $1.50 a lead.
Aged pest data has one honest use: seasonal re-contact ahead of the next infestation cycle. A homeowner who had ants last May is a reasonable prospect the following April, which is a very different proposition from calling them in July about a problem they solved.
Common questions
- What do pest control leads cost?
- No source in this record publishes a figure. The nearest published anchor for urgency and ticket is an HVAC repair lead at $100 with an exclusive range of $80 to $120.
- Why should pest leads be priced on lifetime value?
- Because most pest work becomes a recurring contract. A lead that is expensive against one treatment can be cheap against three years of quarterly visits.
- Are exclusive pest control leads worth it?
- For emergency infestations, usually, because the job goes to whoever answers first. For preventive enquiries the case is weaker and the shared tier may buy more contracts per dollar.
- Do aged pest control leads work?
- Only for seasonal re-contact. Calling somebody months after an infestation they have already dealt with is the clearest waste of an aged list in any trade on this site.
